Shaughnessy Public School, the Parent Involvement Advisory Committee, and Trustee James Li invite you to join a Learning session about Anti-Asian Racism – Past, Present and Future presented by Gary Yee, lawyer and social justice advocate. Gary is on the Board of the Chinese Canadian National Council for Social Justice (ccncsj.ca), a community organization with a mission to educate, engage and advocate for equity and justice for all in Canada.
The presentation will cover the following topics:
- Individual and Systemic Racism
- History of Anti-Asian Racism in Canada
- Racism in the Pandemic
- Collaboration and Community Resilience
The video conference platform will be Zoom. Registration is required.
