   MASTERS OF THE MOOT
When it comes to the language of litigation, no one does it better than the UNT Moot Court. The organization, founded in 2000, is a student-led team that uses real court cases to argue legal issues. The team competes in national tournaments and was ranked eighth in the nation for advocacy during the 2024-25 season by the American Moot Court Association. For interested undergraduate students, tryouts for the team are hosted every spring semester for fall competition.

   STAR PARTY
Is your Saturday night looking a little dull? Shine bright at a Star Party on Aug. 2! The parties are hosted every first and third Saturday of the month by UNT’s Rafes Urban Astronomy Center, where visitors can learn about the night sky from knowledgeable staff and students as well as see objects in space through telescopes. Star Parties may be cancelled due to inclement weather, so make sure to check the UNT Astronomy website or call 940-369-8213 to check on an event's status before heading out!
If you need more astronomy action, the Sky Theater has a combo deal, offering a daytime screening each Saturday before the Star Party that night. Combo tickets must be purchased in-person at the Sky Theater on the day of the Star Party.
