Is this how you felt this December?

Dear Traveling Friends,

Happier New Year to you! So many of us have lost so much in terms of friends and relatives, opportunities, and time during the past nine months. But, we have also gained plenty in terms of new hobbies, relationships, and times to reflect of what is truly important for our spiritual, physical, and emotional health. Let’s take what we have learned as we move forward in our life’s journey.

During the past few months, we have had several groups trips moved to the future, and I appreciate those of you who have graciously agreed to stay the course and enjoy the trip, whether it is 2021 or 2022. It does look like the vaccine is the key to going back to Europe and back to large ship sailing. Hopefully, the rollout will be seamless and the first quarter will see most of us being vaccinated (a good thing about being a little older!).

Now is the time to take advantage of great pricing and availability! I am traveling to Florida and Antigua this month. From my crystal ball, I see the world further opening up during the second half of the year with proof of testing, antibodies, or vaccination. Also, companies are still being lenient with cancellation policies which help us feel more confident in reserving trips further out.

Feel free to call me and we can talk over your options!

Happy (Safe) Traveling!

Lauren

Passport FAQ's

Most of us know these things if we travel frequently but these are the most common questions that I get from travelers about Passports.
  • How long is a Passport good for? 10 years if you are 16 or older. If you are under 16, the Passport expires in five years.
  • How do I apply? Go to this site – https://travel.state.gov
  • Can I keep my old passport? You must send it in for the renewal, but you will eventually get it returned to you as a souvenir.
  • Is my Passport valid for travel? This gets tricky! Most countries will not allow a traveler to enter unless the passport is set to expire at least six months after the final day of travel. If in doubt, renew!
  • What is Mobile Passport? You can download this for free as an app. It only speeds things through at US points of entry but has saved me time in airports!

Viking Adriatic Antiquities “Reboot”

Our group that was scheduled to go on this marvelous cruise in March of 2021 was rescheduled to October of 2022. The itinerary embarks and returns to Italy but sails to Greece, Crete, Croatia, Montenegro, and Ephesus. We have fifteen who moved their reservations and a few more who will re-join the group. Let me know if you'd like to see the complete itinerary. There is still room for YOU!

Holy Land 2021

Our Holy Land trip with an optional Egypt extension is scheduled for November 1 of this year. We will have an informational meeting January 21 if you’d like more information!

About Me!

I am Lauren Williams, partner in Trip Quest Travel Services for the past six years. Moving from three decades in education to becoming a travel consultant has caused me to shift from “The Doctor of Education” to “The Doctor of Travel.” My clients are often just like me – they want a rejuvenating vacation that teaches them about the world and the cultures around them. I love beautiful scenery, exploring new places, and learning something new every day! Aside from travel, I stay busy with my husband, Steve, and our four children and thirteen grandchildren. Staying active in the church and in our community feeds our souls as well. I love to play tennis, pickleball, and bridge when I am not helping clients plan that perfect trip! Because our world is so much smaller now, I am happy to work with clients wherever they might live…but by referral only. Hope you enjoy my monthly newsletter – let me know if there is something you’d like to know more about!
