Jeehee Han, assistant professor in the Department of Public Service and Administration at the Bush School of Government and Public Service will present her work titled, “Are public housing projects good for kids after all?” to the New York City Independent Budget Office (IBO). This work examines the academic achievement of NYC public school students from low-income households. Read Dr. Han’s piece here.

Associate Professors of the Practice, Drs. Dan Debree, Brian Nakamura and Paul Hofmann led panel discussions during the Bush School City and County Governance Program Symposium held March 7, 2024, at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center. This year’s event hosted 82 attendees and began with a warm welcome from Interim Dean Dr. Frank Ashley III. Panel discussions covered public safety challenges from the perspective of the local government administrator. The lunchtime discussion on building and sustaining trust was facilitated by Bush School Student and Texas A&M University Police Lieutenant Jennifer Enloe '24 who posed questions to a panel of Brazos County elected and appointed public safety officials. Other panelists included elected and appointed officials from counties and cities from across the State of Texas, and representatives of the private and non-profit sectors.

The Women in Intelligence Conference will focus on the historical impact that women have had on the intelligence field and the current impact women are making in the U.S. Intelligence Community. Ultimately, we hope to inspire the generation of intelligence professionals—our students, both men and women. The conference will include panels with current and former intelligence professionals and a keynote address from Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines.
