On Wednesday, December 13th, twenty-nine student-athletes across ten sports graduated with a degree from Texas A&M University. Among the twenty-nine graduates four students received their masters degree. Maliyah Johnson from women's basketball gave the Student-Athlete Reflection and Justin Moore '04 gave the Letterman's Address.
"Graduation was a huge accomplishment for me. I am first generation so it feels really good to set that example for my little brother, nieces and nephews. I’m truly honored to have been able to speak in front of fellow student athletes. It felt as though I was celebrating amongst family."
- Maliyah Johnson, Women's Basketball
“Our entire department and the Center for Student-Athlete Services are proud of our student-athletes for completing their degrees. We commend our students for their ability to successfully balance athletic responsibilities with their academic requirements. Their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence both on and off the field of play teaches them what it means to be an Aggie. A huge congratulations goes out to this year's class as they transition from student-athletes to Former Students.”
- Dr. Dan Childs, Associate Athletics Director of Academic Services
