Today is #GivingTuesday, an international day of giving! As a non-profit devoted to education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) we take every opportunity to encourage young minds to explore careers and pursuits in STEM. Today we encourage you to take a small step to support STEM education for students and to support STEM resources for educators. 

• STEM workers drive our nation’s innovation and competitiveness by generating new ideas, new companies and new industries

• Fewer students are prepared for STEM careers than in previous years. Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Labor reports that STEM occupations are projected to grow 10.5% between 2020 and 2030.

•The Department of Defense states that more than 80% of jobs over the next decade will require STEM skills

• We are succeeding in reaching underserved students and educators with 49% of our program users coming from Title 1 schools

• Our X-STEM All Access (on-demand) episodes have been viewed by 700,000 students and growing

• All of our on-demand and in-person programs remain FREE and open to all educators, parents and students
