We are excited to announce that this year’s Winter Break will begin one day early, as Monday, December 23, 2024, has been designated as a special day off for faculty and staff.

We understand the importance of spending ample time with loved ones, especially during the holiday season, and we want to share our gratitude for the work you do every day to support our students and the university community.

Please note the revised schedule below. Employees should not use Paid Time Off or Leave of Absence for these dates. If you have already submitted a request for December 23, please update it in the Time Reporting System (TRS). If you are required to work on observed university holidays, please follow the established process of taking an alternative day off. In some cases, your dean or unit leadership may communicate additional guidance.

• Special Day Off: Monday, December 23, 2024

• Winter Break and New Year’s Day: Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024 — Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025
