Security Services to host open forum on campus safety

Student improv group Ubiquitous They opens for Upright Citizens Brigade, April 8
ASUPS Performing Arts presents The Upright Citizens Brigade TourCo, live at Blue Mouse Theater, Friday, April 8, as part of Spring Family Weekend. Opening the show will be Puget Sound's own Ubiquitous They. Advance tickets are $8 (discount with Puget Sound ID) at the Info Center or tickets.pugetsound.edu.
Nominate a staff member to be recognized for excellent service
The Excellence in Action award recognizes staff members who consistently exhibit excellence in their work at Puget Sound. Nominate a deserving staffer by completing the nomination form by April 15.

Duane Hulbert, professor of piano, will give his final performance as a Puget Sound faculty member with the college's Piano Trio on Friday, April 15, in Schneebeck Concert Hall. Mark your calendar now!
Noteworthy
Rob Beezer, math and computer science, gave an invited plenary address on mathematics textbooks with open licenses at the Annual Meeting of the Texas Section of the Mathematical Association of America.
Steven Neshyba, chemistry, was the subject of a story on the website of the Catholic University of Valparaiso, in Chile, where he taught a course on "flipping a classroom." Neshyba is in Chile on a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Grant.
Eric Orlin, classics, edited The Routledge Encyclopedia of Ancient Mediterranean Religions, containing entries written by more than 450 scholars in 20 countries.
Renee Watling, occupational therapy, co-authored the article "Effectiveness of Ayres Sensory Integration® and Sensory-Based Interventions for People With Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Systematic Review" in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy.
In the News
Julie Nelson Christoph, English and Center for Writing, Learning, and Teaching, was interviewed in the Writing Lab Newsletter blog about this November's National Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing.
Puget Sound was named in the Forbes list of "Best Value Colleges 2016" and in the list "Best Value Colleges in the West."
Jenny Rickard, vice president for enrollment, was quoted in the Statesman Journalas Willamette University followed Puget Sound's move of going "test-optional" for admissions.
