Launching a new college year also means gearing up for a new basketball season, and student-athlete Clarice Akunwafo is doing both! This Health & Human Sciences major and Women's Basketball team member has aspirations not just in the classroom and on the court: she is also on the Pre-Medicine track and working toward her goal to become a surgeon!
Some advice for fellow students includes
-
Meet with your academic advisors early on and establish a relationship. That way you'll be more comfortable reaching out and advisors will know more about your interests and goals.
-
Don't be afraid to ask questions. It can be intimidating to ask, but college is a place for learning, and everyone -- from professors to staff to peers -- are here to assist. And great assists make a difference, both in sports and in school!
