Re: Student Support and Fall Registration Resources
Dear SOU Students,
I know the recent discussions about Southern Oregon University’s future have created uncertainty for many of you. Please know this: we see you, we hear you, and we remain deeply committed to your success and well-being. SOU is a resilient community, and we will move through this together.
To help you prepare for the upcoming academic year, Student Success Coordinators will host drop-in fall registration sessions May 11-15. Whether you have a quick question or need help planning your schedule, we encourage you to attend.
In-person support
11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Student Union Room 330
Virtual support
4-6 p.m.

I also recognize that recent news about program changes and institutional planning is not simply “news” for many of you. It's personal. It can feel frustrating, unsettling and emotional, particularly when it affects your academic path and the community you have built here.
To support student well-being during this time, a behavioral health clinician from La Clinica Student Health & Wellness Center will offer confidential drop-in support sessions:
Wednesday, May 6, and Thursday, May 7
4-5 p.m.
Student Union Dankook Room, Room 314
While the path forward may feel uncertain for all of us, the commitment of SOU's leaders to your future is unwavering. We will get through this time together.
Warm regards,
Casey Shillam, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President and Provost
