Director of Sustainability Lexi Brewer will present at the Washington Oregon Cascadia Higher Education Sustainability Conference (WOHESC) March 4–6. Brewer will speak at two sessions, the first about Puget Sound’s climate action planning process, titled, "The Journey to Climate Action and Equity: Lessons Learned on Transforming Buildings and Culture at a Private University" and the second about a partnership with Lewis & Clark College titled "Supporting Students in Climate Action through Local & Regional Engagement." Brewer was also a panelist at the Tacoma-Pierce County Clean Buildings Symposium on Feb. 23.

Marketing strategy firm GBK Collective published a new survey on consumer sentiment around electric vehicles. President Jeremy Korst ’97 was quoted by Business Insider about the results, which found that more than half of Americans in the market for a new car are considering buying an EV or a hybrid.
“[The] market is ripe for much greater adoption for battery-powered vehicles should the industry do the work to listen to consumers and better understand the market," Korst said.

The Logger women's basketball team won the Northwest Conference Championship on the road in Salem, Oregon, this weekend. The Loggers beat Pacific University 61–57 in a nail-biter final game to capture the title and earn a spot in the 2024 NCAA Division III women's basketball championship.

The Department of Theatre Arts' spring mainstage production is Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare. This dark comedy is rife with moral dilemmas that serve as a mirror for current debates around such diverse issues as reproductive rights, law enforcement, and self-determination. Measure for Measure runs through March 2 in Norton Clapp Theatre.
