It is with deep sadness that we note the recent passing of the following members of the CCAS community:
Roderick French, former philosophy professor and vice president for academic affairs.
Nozer Singpurwalla, emeritus professor of statistics and distinguished research professor.
Emma Thomson, BA ’16, (political communication) beloved student in the CCAS School of Media and Public Affairs and communications director for the office of Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.).

Noteworthy

M. Shams Billah, BA ’08, (Economics) was named to Bloomberg Law’s “They’ve Got Next: The 40 Under 40” list in the Banking and Finance category.
Jeff Marootian, BA ’01, MPA ’03, (Human Services and Social Justice, Public Administration) was nominated by President Biden as assistant secretary for energy efficiency and renewable energy at the U.S. Department of Energy.
Christopher Rollston (Classical and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations) co-authored the book Biblical and Ancient Near Eastern Studies in Honor of P. Kyle McCarter Jr.
Eiko Strader (Public Policy, Sociology and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies) wrote the book Demography of Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender Minority Populations.
