End-of-Year Review
As we near the end of 2024, we are proud to reflect on a year of successful events. During Diversity Week, we partnered with the Career Development Office to bring in a speaker from the District Attorney's office. Alongside our William M. Rains Library, we hosted a de-stressing and fun craft session. We also hosted two esteemed Alumni, Kazim Naqvi '14 and Nicholas Mireles '12. Additionally, Campus Ministry, Fr. Wayne and Alejandra in Student Services, organized a tabling session where students could express their gratitude. The event saw participation from over 70 students. Throughout the year we shined light on multicultural designated months, you can see our past JEDI newsletters here.

Looking forward to the spring semester, GSLMU will partner with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Campus Ministry, and Career and Professional Development offices to host a weekend “Retreat & Reignite” event from January 24th to 26th, 2025. This retreat will focus on “Who Am I? Connecting your experiences, values, and beliefs to your graduate education and leadership beyond.” This will be a journey to facilitate workshops, activities, and dialogues that will encourage self-evaluation, introspection, and understanding of cultural backgrounds and influences and how that translates into your career and the impact you have on your community. This retreat will serve as the catalyst to a successful spring semester and will be followed by a Graduate Summit, a second Day of Service, and Grad Gala. For more information click here.
