On October 6, 2021, special awards were presented to community partners, volunteers, and employees who demonstrated their commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities. There are many more unsung heroes making a real difference in people’s lives and we extend our thanks to each of them.

Thinking about traveling this holiday season? The experts say to expect a surge in domestic travel and to plan accordingly. Car rentals are already up 229 percent and may be hard to come by. Believe it or not, it is anticipated that the busiest travel day for Thanksgiving will be Monday, November 15. That's right, a whole week before Thanksgiving!

Vax Booster Available to Immunocompromised

Residents with compromised immune systems are eligible to receive a third additional dose of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines at locations throughout Montgomery County.
Guidance shared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a third dose for people who are immunocompromised. Visit the Montgomery County health officials website for more information.
