Thank you for joining us for our Annual Banquet!
This year over 120 people gathered for food, fellowship, and to share in congratulations for the work our learners and tutors have done over the past year. We featured two panels of learners and volunteer tutors who shared more of their "why" and love of NALC. Thank you to all who participated. We can't wait to see you all next year!

Take a moment to tell us how we did!

Bittersweet Goodbye to Staff Member Whitney Weaver |
We're sad to see our VP of Program Quality, Whitney Weaver, transition from NALC after four dedicated years. In this time she's streamlined our programming processes and built out our infrastructure. Her project management and organizational skills have made our files intuitive and easy to find for any staff joining the team in the future.
From our CEO Kim Karesh: “Whitney’s skills were critical during the pandemic. We had to change the way we did all of our programs. She was able to take muddled ideas, break them into achievable tasks, and help us transform into who we are today. We are forever grateful.”
Can't wait to see what's next for you Whitney!

Southern Festival of Books touches down in Nashville
We had a great time tabling at the Southern Festival of Books this year. The Southern Festival of Books: A Celebration of the Written Word is among the oldest literary festivals in the country, annually welcoming hundreds of authors and thousands of visitors to downtown Nashville each October.
The Festival is free, and includes performance stages, food trucks, and loads of publishers and booksellers.
This year we made new friends, found new volunteers, and got to meet local authors!
