South Orange Downtown & SOPAC

South Orange celebrates Black Owned Businesses
South Orange celebrates Women-Owned Businesses

The South Orange Police Department (SOPD) presents their 2nd Annual Autism Acceptance Basketball Game: SOPD vs. the Seton Hall University Women’s Alumni Team. The game will be held on Tuesday, April 28 at 7 p.m. at Walsh Gymnasium at Seton Hall. This community event will support Nassan’s Place. Seton Hall students and kids under 12 are free.

Maplewood Arts & Culture & SOMA

HabibiFest NJ 2026 is headed to the Woodland in Maplewood for Arab American Heritage Month. There will be live performances, food, shopping, kids' activities, and a tea tent on Sunday, April 26 from 12 - 5 p.m..

Newark Downtown District & NJPAC

Earth Day 2026 in Newark features community-driven environmental action, including the SWEA 5th Annual Environmental Summit on April 18 and a Volunteer Tree Planting at Nat Turner Park on April 22.

Nutley Events & Clifton Events

The Essex County Environmental Center hosts its Annual Earth Day on Saturday, April 25 with crafts, games, and recreational opportunities, such as canoeing and hiking.
Montclair celebrates Earth Fest on Sunday, April 26, from 12 to 4 p.m. (South Street Park between Bloomfield Avenue and Church Street).
