| First Soundwaves Event Was a Hit! |
We had an amazing turnout for our inaugural Soundwaves: Lessons from Industry Experts event, with over 50 people in attendance and all auction items sold - including two live auction items that sparked a lively bidding session! A huge thank you to our featured speakers, David Penrod of AudioQuest and Allan Tarrant of MartinLogan, who shared their expertise on all things audio, answered audience questions, and generously provided giveaways for everyone.
This event grossed over $10,000 for Audio-Reader! Special thanks to Maceli’s and an anonymous donor for helping sponsor the event, J. Schafer for serving as our fantastic emcee, GrooveWasher for providing additional giveaways, and our dedicated equipment and record volunteers - Ed Hawkins, Douglas May, Gordon Fitch, Dave Dunford, and Wake Mitchell - who spend countless hours inspecting, repairing, and pricing items.
We’re thrilled with the success of this first event and can’t wait to make Soundwaves an annual tradition!
