    TRUE MAROONS
Deacon Alex Kramer '14 was ordained to the transitional diaconate on Sept. 30 at St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. He was joined by Deacon Jim Obradovich and Father Reed Flood '13, both of Holy Trinity Parish in Des Moines, and his parents, Mary and Allan Kramer. Deacon Kramer is currently studying at the Pontifical North American College in Rome. Members of the DCHS and St. Joseph Academy community gathered for All Saints and All Souls days and were joined by Bishop Joensen who dedicated and blessed the Maroon Memorial, a sacred place on campus to pray and remember the departed. Thank you to those who helped make this place of remembrance possible:

The Pancake Breakfast was a huge success thanks to our sponsors and the many volunteers whose support made the event possible. A special thank you to Dennis '65 and Mary (Naughton) Bell '65 SJA who welcomed guests to the event and the many other alumni who volunteered and attended!
