Priority Registration Tips

Yesterday marked the first day of priority registration for fall 2026 and winter 2027.

As expected with a new system, we are encountering items that may be impacting students' ability to successfully complete registration. We are actively addressing them, and we want to share tips on the following known items:

1. CAPP/Degree Works Error Resolved

The team has resolved this issue, but if you continue to see an error, please email helpdesk@olemiss.edu.

2. Check Your Registration Agreement Hold

If you still have a hold on your account to sign the Registration and Financial Aid Agreement (it may appear as an “automated workflow hold”):

Go to Tasks in Experience (top right of your homepage)
Complete any outstanding items

If you receive a 500 server error when accessing the agreement, please email helpdesk@olemiss.edu. We are aware of this issue and are actively working to resolve it.

3. Prerequisite Error (Course Already Taken)

Some students are receiving prerequisite errors for courses they have already completed. We are actively working to resolve this.

In the meantime,

Contact the Dean’s Office that manages the course you need to take to request an override
Override forms, as well as the list of departments, are available online

4. Page Won't Load

If you are experiencing a continuous loading screen, consider using a different browser. For example, the Safari broswer with a private window or Chrome with an incognito window.

5. Math Block (Algebra)

The team has resolved this issue. If you continue to see a math block, this should not prevent you from registering for the classes you discussed with your advisor.
