While we still have plenty of good weather Winter is marching on its way. We are still putting a few pieces back together from the flooding that took place in July and expect to have repairs wrapped up soon. 

Here in the ski and ride school, we are busy getting ramped up for the winter. Hiring is in full swing and we are hiring for a number of positions within the school including open manager and supervisor positions. 

For the 2023-24 winter season, Vail Resorts is offering a $300 referral bonus to employees who refer a candidate to any of our instructor roles this season! For employees to be eligible for the bonus, candidates must have never previously worked for Vail Resorts and must input the referring employee's name and employee ID in their application.

Currently, all of our products are live on the website with Amplitude and Super Nova coming online on Monday.

Requests for each day throughout the season are limited this year. You will see this number listed on each day you select for your preferred schedule. This number will change with availability to meet our scheduling needs. Once a day is full, it will not be an option for your schedule.

New Hire - 4 Days of on-snow training plus 2 days of Shadows & 1 Follow Up Day after the holidays

1st Year Return SKI – This is a full day, 6-hour mandatory paid training session for staff who were new hires last season.

2nd + Year Return SKI – This is a 3-hour, half-day mandatory paid training session for staff with 2 or more years teaching at Okemo.

Return BOARD – This is a full mandatory paid day for all return snowboard return staff, regardless of experience.

The Jackson Gore Summer Music Series  will be happening every Friday through to September 1st from 6pm-9pm. These are free concerts set in the Jackson Gore courtyard and you are encouraged to bring in your own chairs and/or blankets. This year we will have an outdoor bbq/bar starting at 5:30pm and you are also welcome to bring in your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. Coleman Brook Tavern and some Adventure Zone activities will remain open throughout the concert.

Stowe Mountain Resort is celebrating 100 years of the legendary Auto Toll Road. The historic road winds 4.5 miles up Vermont’s highest peak, Mount Mansfield, and offers views of the trails and town below, nearby Lake Champlain, and the neighboring Adirondack mountains.
