Distinguished Professorship
Raising Visibility of Aging Research at Annual Meetings of Professional Specialty Societies
The Clin-STAR Distinguished Professorship provides up to $5,000 to support visiting professor honorarium, travel expenses, meeting registration fee, and award(s) for best aging/geriatrics presentations and/posters. Meeting and travel must be within the US.
Clin-STAR has identified leaders in aging research across disciplines and specialties who are willing to visit your institution to provide education, training and mentoring.

Mini-Sabbatical Support
Looking for a funded short-term, immersive, learning experience?
Mini-Sabbaticals are short-term immersion opportunities to learn specific methods or techniques designed to fulfill objectives based on the applicant's previous knowledge, experience, specific research interests, and/or training goals.
These mini-sabbaticals, which may last up to a week, should offer a highly collaborative and supportive academic environment, mentorship, opportunities to participate in organized scholarly activities, access to a workspace, and reasonable access to relevant resources.
Up to $4,000 may be requested, to cover travel, housing, and meals.

Early Career Lecture Fund
Are you an early career clinician-scientist interested in travel funds to present your aging-related research in a lecture at an annual scientific or medical specialty association meeting?
The Clin-STAR Coordinating Center provides travel and hotel funds to encourage early career investigators in the field of aging research to present findings at an annual scientific or medical specialty association meeting where aging-related research is not the primary focus (e.g., GSA, AGS).

Visiting Professor Program
Interested in bringing a clinical researcher in geriatrics to your institution for Grand Rounds or other training activities?
The Clin-STAR Visiting Professor Program is designed to expose faculty and trainees to leaders in aging research. Up to $3,000 may be requested to cover travel in the U.S., meals, accommodations, and honorarium of up to $1,000. Clin-STAR has identified leaders in aging research across disciplines and medical and surgical specialties who are willing to visit your institution to provide education, training and mentoring. Clin-STAR staff are available to assist your staff with coordination. Please share this opportunity with colleagues!

NIDUS Delirium Boot Camp
October 26-28, 2025 | Chapel Hill, NC
The 2025 Bootcamp will be led by a faculty of more than 15 experienced delirium researchers, who collectively, have expertise in everything from animal models, biomarkers, epidemiology, clinical trials, implementation science, delirium assessment and statistical methods. Applications are due July 7, 2025.
