• Congratulations to Dean of Business and Distinguished Global Professor of Business Chen Yuxin, along with Director of the Center for Applied Social and Economic Research and Yufeng Global Professor of Social Science Wu Xiaogang, and Professor of Neuroscience Zhong-Lin Lu. The three have been ranked in a list of most highly cited Chinese researchers in 2023 by Elsevier, an academic publishing authority. The ranking uses Scopus, a global authoritative citation and index database, as a statistical source of Chinese scholarly research achievements.

• On March 27, sitar maestro Abhik Mukherjee and tabla artist Mandy Chen introduced the NYU Shanghai community to the captivating sounds of Indian classical music as part of the “From the Mughals to the Beatles” event co-hosted by the Performing Arts program and Global Perspectives on Society. In a conversation led by Assistant Professor of Human Geography Sangeeta Banerji, the musicians introduced the historical context and genre variations of the pieces they performed, allowing the audience to gain appreciation and new insights into a rich musical tradition.
