Important Message from CEO Deke Cateau regarding COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate
Dear Care Partners –
The COVID-19 Pandemic has changed our industry in more ways than we can measure, and because of your strength and perseverance, we have made great strides in protecting and caring for our elders. We cannot thank you enough for being true heroes during the most uncertain time of our lives.
Our first responsibility is the safety of our elders and staff. As COVID activity has made its way back into our homes, we must be proactive to avoid COVID-19 cases spreading in our communities as well as serious illness due to COVID-19. We understand the concerns and hesitations that some of you may have, and we want to work through those with you while also providing safety and protection to others around you. We believe the COVID-19 vaccine is the most effective tool to protect our elders and care partners from the virus. We currently have about 60% of our staff and 80% of our elders vaccinated and must take additional steps to increase these numbers. Moving forward, A.G. Rhodes is implementing a COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for all staff.
With the A.G. Rhodes COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate, all employees must comply with the mandate by Friday, October 1. Please see attached policy for additional information. Please note the COVID-19 Vaccine is readily available at Walgreens, CVS, Kaiser, and through onsite clinics at A.G. Rhodes. With the mandate, we will have both medical and religious exemptions available to employees, but these must be requested and approved by the October 1 deadline. Please see your Education & Wellness manager if you would like to request an exemption. The sooner everyone gets vaccinated, the safer our communities will be for our elders and care partners. In addition, we will be offering incentives and giveaways to all employees who comply with the mandate by September 1. Stay tuned for additional information regarding the Vaccine Giveaways.
We have attached FAQs to address questions you may have, but please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. You can respond directly to this email, email questions@agrhodes.org, or reach out directly to your Education & Wellness Manager. Thank you for doing your part to make A.G. Rhodes a safer place for our elders and care partners.
