2021 A.G. Rhodes High School Graduation Celebration

Each year we look forward to celebrating the children and grandchildren of A.G. Rhodes Care Partners graduating high school. This year we had a beautiful celebration in the courtyard of A.G. Rhodes – Wesley Woods. We were able to honor 12 graduates and 2 scholarship winners. Congratulations to all the graduates and their parents and grandparents for supporting them every step of the way.

Through the Years: Employee Spotlight with Randy Brewer, CNA Care Partner
Over 42 years ago, Randy Brewer paid a visit to A.G. Rhodes Atlanta in hopes of securing a job. While the initial position didn’t work out, someone suggested that he look into becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. So, he did, and now he’s been a CNA Care Partner at A.G. Rhodes Atlanta for 42 years serving many people and enjoying the work along the way.

“A.G. Rhodes Atlanta is my second family. I see some of my coworkers more than my family at home,” Randy said.

Randy is originally from Lafayette, Alabama but relocated to Atlanta in 1970 and quickly made a home here. Married for 40 years, with two children and seven grandchildren, Randy is no stranger to serving others and working hard to provide for his family.

“My family and coworkers would describe me to be dependable, reliable, and trustworthy—I’m always going to be there and always willing to go the extra mile,” he said. “I’ve had a great experience here at A.G. Rhodes Atlanta. The last 42 years have gone by too fast. I met many great people, elders, and staff that I’ve learned so much from.” Read more about Randy.
Important Message from CEO Deke Cateau regarding COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate
Dear Care Partners –

The COVID-19 Pandemic has changed our industry in more ways than we can measure, and because of your strength and perseverance, we have made great strides in protecting and caring for our elders. We cannot thank you enough for being true heroes during the most uncertain time of our lives.

Our first responsibility is the safety of our elders and staff. As COVID activity has made its way back into our homes, we must be proactive to avoid COVID-19 cases spreading in our communities as well as serious illness due to COVID-19. We understand the concerns and hesitations that some of you may have, and we want to work through those with you while also providing safety and protection to others around you. We believe the COVID-19 vaccine is the most effective tool to protect our elders and care partners from the virus.  We currently have about 60% of our staff and 80% of our elders vaccinated and must take additional steps to increase these numbers.  Moving forward, A.G. Rhodes is implementing a COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for all staff.

With the A.G. Rhodes COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate, all employees must comply with the mandate by Friday, October 1.  Please see attached policy for additional information.  Please note the COVID-19 Vaccine is readily available at Walgreens, CVS, Kaiser, and through onsite clinics at A.G. Rhodes.  With the mandate, we will have both medical and religious exemptions available to employees, but these must be requested and approved by the October 1 deadline.  Please see your Education & Wellness manager if you would like to request an exemption.  The sooner everyone gets vaccinated, the safer our communities will be for our elders and care partners. In addition, we will be offering incentives and giveaways to all employees who comply with the mandate by September 1.  Stay tuned for additional information regarding the Vaccine Giveaways.

We have attached FAQs to address questions you may have, but please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.  You can respond directly to this email, email, or reach out directly to your Education & Wellness Manager.  Thank you for doing your part to make A.G. Rhodes a safer place for our elders and care partners.
