2019 Black History Month Event Planning Committee

Good Morning.
It is time to convene the Student Planning Committee for the College of Public Service's 2019 Black History Month event, which will be held in February 2019. Such an event is powerfully important given TSU’s proud tradition as an HBCU, coupled with the importance of cultural awareness for excellence across all areas of public service. We will look to build upon the successful event that was held for Black History Month 2018 (learn more here and here).
At this point, we are inviting students who would like to help in planning this event. The first planning committee meeting will occur during the week of December 10, and this meeting can be attended via phone if that is more convenient for students. Volunteers from across the College of Public Service (Professional Studies, Public Administration, Social Work, and Urban Studies) are strongly encouraged to participate! Our goal is for the Black History Month event to be student-designed and student-led.
If you would like to be involved with the planning of this event, please email Dr. Anthony Campbell (mcampb13@tnstate.edu) by Wednesday December 5, and please select the best days and times for your schedule via this Doodle link - https://doodle.com/poll/psbku7nkm63g422g
Thank you, and we all wish you the best as you wrap up the Fall 2018 semester!
