Submit Free Communications Abstracts by Nov. 1
The deadline to submit abstracts for the NATA Research & Education Foundation’s Free Communications Program is Nov. 1. Abstracts selected by the Free Communications Committee will be published in the
Journal of Athletic Training and will be presented at the 72nd NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo via oral or poster presentation. Submission guidelines and instructions are on the NATA Foundation website.

Go4Ellis Launches In-App HIPAA-Compliant EMR
Go4Ellis has launched a HIPAA-compliant electronic medical records (EMR) as part of the app that can be used with Go4Ellis shifts and non-Go4Ellis shifts. Go4 EMR helps athletic trainers record and document injuries and practice patient-centered care by coordinating collaboration with the next clinician (i.e., in emergency rooms or urgent cares and with primary care physicians). It also allows athletic trainers HIPAA-secure access to their records, providing proof of action.

Shaquille O’Neal Foundation 'Get Game Ready' Grant Closes Oct. 31
To further advocate for ATs, as well as positively impact secondary schools that have had drastic budgets cuts to their athletics programs, NATA has partnered with the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation on its Get Game Ready campaign, which is supported by Icy Hot. Through the Get Game Ready program, the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation will issue up to $400,000 in grants to supply financial assistance to secondary school sports and athletic training programs in need. The deadline to submit a grant proposal is Oct. 31.
