Good morning! Learn more about the work being done by the South Carolina Water Resources Center ahead of World Water Day tomorrow, Alumni Spring Break begins today, Athletics hosts events throughout the weekend and more. 

• March 22 marks World Water Day, a time to highlight the importance of freshwater preservation. Clemson University's South Carolina Water Resources Center serves as a liaison between the U.S. Geological Survey, the University community and the water resources constituencies across South Carolina. 

• Clemson researchers also keep an eye on protecting our planet's crucial resources. Michael Childress, associate professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, has highlighted how we can best protect our oceans. 

• When environmental jolts happen, why do some companies survive while others struggle? A new study from assistant professors Annette Popp Tower (pictured left) and Pravin Nath (pictured right) in the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business suggests that experiences with international partnerships play an important role in helping firms succeed in turbulent times.

• Jadarius “JD” Evans, a graduate student in the Counselor Education program, was awarded the South Carolina Counseling Association (SCCA) Humanitarian Award last month during the SCCA’s annual conference. Evans was honored for his contributions to the counseling profession, academic excellence and a commitment to advocacy and service.
