Academic Support Center Relocates to Library |
We are excited to announce the relocation of the Academic Support Center to the second floor of the library, a move that offers numerous benefits to the Walsh University community. With both the Academic Support Center and library staff under one roof, students now have a centralized hub for academic support needs. This integration makes it easier for students to access resources and expertise in a shared, single, convenient location. The new space allows students to take advantage of the library's resources while receiving personalized academic guidance, tutoring, and accommodations. Dr. Edna McCulloh, Associate Vice President for Academic Administration, shared her excitement for the transition, “We should look forward to the variety and range of student support services and resources made available by Meredith Soduk, Director of Academic Support Center, and Brian Richards, Director of Library Services.”
The Academic Support Center staff are excited to collaborate with on campus partners, including Library Services and the Office of Student Activities, to showcase their new home and welcome students back to campus during the First Day Fair and Open House on Monday, Aug. 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come explore the new space, receive free giveaways, meet the Academic Support and Library staff, and discover the wide array of services available to support your academic journey!

Introducing Canva Templates and Updated Walsh University Identity Standards
|
The Walsh University Office of Integrated Marketing & Communications is pleased to introduce a new self-service creative suite of Canva templates designed for social media graphics, department events, and internal event flyers. These templates help maintain brand consistency across all University communications. By using these pre-branded templates which include correct fonts, colors and logos, employees do not need to submit their projects to the marketing department for final approval.
For external marketing assets, such as advertising, signature event marketing, recruitment, fundraising, athletics, and general branding, all requests must still be routed through the central marketing office. To initiate a project, please submit the project request form with all source materials, photography, and other assets.
It is mandatory for all associates to adhere to Walsh University's Identity Standards when developing materials internally or through vendors, ensuring alignment with University guidelines. To view the 2024 Identity Standards document, click here. To submit a project request or download approved branded templates, please click here.

Dr. Amy Heston, Tatiana's Honors research advisor, said, “I would like to acknowledge Tatiana's dedication to academic innovation. Considering her future goals as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant and medical educator, this QM professional development will provide her with a significant advantage as she enters the workforce and begins creating her own courses.” Looking ahead to fall, Tatiana will use these new QM skills in her Honors project that focuses on assessment of student learning and QM implementation.
