Did you make a New Year's resolution to go out more? Meet new people? Re-connect with friends? Get more involved in your community? Help other people? Be more organized? You can accomplish all of them by making sure you're free for HURRAH! on Saturday, April 26.

That night, the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation’s annual fundraising party, HURRAH!, will once again fill Wege Plaza overlooking Reeds Lake with food, fun, friends, music, drinks and more.

This community-wide event is always a highlight on the East Grand Rapids social calendar. Once again last year, HURRAH! was sold out well before the event, so be sure to register as a sponsor or get your tickets early. Sponsorship opportunities and individual tickets will be available soon on our website at egrsf.org. 

More than 400 people attended last year’s HURRAH!, which was “the birthday party you always wanted” in honor of the Foundation’s 40 years of supporting our schools. This year’s HURRAH! will be a party spotlighting the artful way the Foundation and our friends in the community work together to provide opportunity for our students.

So start filling in that new calendar. Use a highlighter, a sticker, a big red circle–whatever you do to keep track of important events–you’ll want to save the date of Saturday, April 26, for HURRAH! 

Thank you to everyone who made a year-end donation to the Foundation! Thanks to you, we offer our students opportunity not only in reading, writing, science, and math, but also in the fine arts and performing arts, world languages, robotics, athletics, Innovation Lab, Gone Boarding, mental health resources, and so much more. We support our students in nearly everything they do. 

There's still time to take advantage of matching gifts from two incredibly generous donors. One individual has pledged to match all donations to the Mental Health and Wellness Fund dollar for dollar up to a total of $50,000. Another donor has pledged to match all donations to Jimmy's Friendship Fund for families in need up to a total of $20,000. Jimmy's Friendship Fund provides funds to families who are experiencing temporary financial hardship so more of our students can can participate in all the opportunities our schools offer.

By donating now to either one of these funds, the impact of your gift will be doubled!
