District hosts in-person tech support

Now through Sept. 18, families and students can visit one of these six schools for in-person support every Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m
  • Robert Churchwell Elementary
  • Glenview Elementary
  • Mt. View Elementary
  • Tusculum Elementary
  • Jere Baxter Middle School
  • Donelson Middle School
Staff will be on-site to troubleshoot and answer questions about:
  • Wi-Fi hotspots and connectivity 
  • Logging into Teams, Schoology or other platforms
  • General technology question
Appointments are not required and translation support is available. Masks are required and temperature checks and social distancing safety measures followed. To learn more, call our family information center at 615-259-4636 or visit www.mnps.org/backtoschool

Congratulations goes out to Arnav Mujumdar. He participated in the Math Kangaroo competition earlier this year. He came in first in the state of Tennessee for his grade level. Arnav is enrolled in the 9th grade.

MLK’s Société honoraire de français: 2020 Induction Ceremony

Madame Weaver is pleased and proud to announce that nineteen students were inducted
this week into MLK’s French Honor Society (SHF/MLK). The ceremony, which took place
virtually, was also attended by current SHF/MLK members and parents of inductees.

Black Girls Magic Group

During the 2020-2021 school year, we will continue to offer the Black Girls Magic group. BGM is a space that unapologetically centers the experiences of Black girls in the 10th-12th grades at MLK. The mission is to bring Black girls together. We recognize that Black girl unity is power.
The BGM group meets bi-weekly to have conversations about Black girls’ experiences, such as identity, relationships, and college. The group also reads books and watches movies important to the Black female experience.
Virtual meetings will be on the following Wednesdays from 3:15 pm until 5:00 pm.
