The flowers are blooming. The trees are starting to bud out. The days are trending longer. The new season is here, ready for you to spring right into it. Or maybe pedal, paddle, steer, stroll, or roll as this month’s events might encourage you to do. We’re definitely on the move up here in Brevard and Transylvania County, and we warmly welcome you to join us whenever it best suits. Even if there is the occasional shower, I’ve heard a little rumor that it might pay off flower-wise come May.

This immensely popular, epic 40/60/100k bicycle ride tends to sell out pretty early. But no matter whether you’re traveling with the peloton or cheering on a pal, this day-long ride offers up plenty of fun for fans and passersby alike. Cheer on the cyclists, enjoy live music, food, exhibits, and a whole day of post-ride celebration on the streets of downtown Brevard.

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon in late April than paddling down one of the oldest rivers in the world at full-tilt spring? How about you add in live music, delicious barbecue, local brews, and one of the season’s best riverside festivals at the end of the trip? Headwaters Outfitters is offering up this unmissable event with food and fun for everyone. Onsite parking is also available for those who would rather stay on dry land.

We may not all get to drive our favorite sports cars in our daily lives, but we can certainly imagine ourselves doing so as they cruise on by. Take in a parade of over 200 Porsches, then wander down Main Street to check out the best of German engineering.
