For the first time in program history, the A&M-San Antonio women’s basketball team is headed to the NAIA National Championship tournament. The Jaguars earned an at-large spot in the NAIA postseason after finishing the regular season 21-7 and advancing to the Red River Athletic Conference championship game. The women's team took on LSU-Shreveport during the semifinals on Saturday, winning 71-62 against A&M-Texarkana but fell to LSU-Shreveport in a hard-fought championship game on Sunday, March 1. The Jaguars will learn Thursday, March 5, who they will play in the first round.

The University is currently accepting applications for vendors at Festival de Cascarones. 

Departments can sign up if they would like to purchase a booth and provide a free activity or pass out information at the festival. 

March 14 is the deadline to submit an application.

We welcome all community members to volunteer for Festival de Cascarones, the University's fun-filled culmination of Fiesta season, featuring live music, games, carnival rides, and delicious food. Participants outside the A&M-SA community must pass a background check, including alumni.

A&M-San Antonio is a polling site for the primary elections. Local, statewide, and federal races are on the ballot, including Bexar County offices, the U.S. Senate, State Executive positions, and the U.S. House. This is a chance to help shape your community!

Bring your laptop and get practical experience with document structure, images and alt text, hyperlinks, and accessible writing. Beginner sessions offer focused instruction, while intermediate sessions provide additional support and guidance.

The Strengths Champions Spring Workshop Series is open to all faculty and staff. This two-part professional development experience is designed to help participants lead, collaborate, and grow using a strengths-based approach.

Led by two Certified CliftonStrengths Coaches, sessions will explore Leading with Strengths, the Four Domains, Theme Dynamics, and the Power and Edge of Strengths. Participants must attend both workshop days.

There is no cost to participate, and lunch will be provided. Space is limited.

Women’s basketball head coach Chris Minner earned his 500th career victory. In just two seasons, Minner has guided the Jaguars to back-to-back appearances in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament, including a 21–7 campaign in 2025–26.

The men’s basketball team made history by making into the quarter finals in the 2026 Red River Athletic Conference Tournament under head coach Chris Dial, marking a major milestone for the young program and for the team's four seniors.

The University honored three outstanding graduates at its 2026 Alumni Awards Ceremony during Homecoming Week, recognizing achievements in professional excellence, service, and leadership. The three honors include the Distinguished Alumni Award, the Spirit of the Jaguar Award, and the Recent Graduate Award.
