BOARD MEMBER MESSAGE
Hi EONY!
As the Communication Chair for the second year, I now have my footing in this role and am super excited to push the envelope. This year, we’ve made some changes in order to ensure everyone in the Chapter knows what’s going on! Check out our top 5 items of focus:
1. GOOGLE CALENDAR. Hopefully you’re all set up with this by now. People have said this is a game changer. Now, if you miss an email OR you want to plan your schedule in advance, ALL EONY EVENTS are right there! What’s even better? Any location changes are reflected on this calendar. So no need to rummage through emails frantically the day of an event.
2. VIDEO. You’ll see at big Learning Events a video team on site, not only capturing the fun, but interviewing you to learn What’s Your WHY? Why are you a member of this great organization? What have you gotten from your membership? So don’t be shy. We say we’re the best kept secret, but let’s change that and get the word out! These videos will be a great tool for us to market our chapter as well as create a library of video soundbytes for future use.
3. ONE email a day. I know first-hand what it’s like to get bombarded by emails. You stop looking. You stop reading. We are committed to sending no more than ONE email per day, most likely around 9am, with info on events, members in the news, MyEO or Masterclass programs, etc. Be on the look-out!
4. FORBES. Did you know you can get an article published in Forbes.com in our very own EO section? Email Joe Beccalori if you have questions on this. What better media exposure for your company could you ask for? Take advantage of this!
5. SOCIAL. Follow us! It’s yet another tool to learn about upcoming events, to create connections beyond your forum, or just to brag. We’re on Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and Instagram!
If anyone has suggestions how to better communications within the chapter, please email me, I’m always open to new ideas! And if you’d like to join the comm team, I’d love to have you!
Thank you. Serving on the board has truly been a privilege and taken my personal EO experience to the next level!
