Hopefully you are as excited as me if you saw the email that we can start moving to more face to face opportunities for the 4-H program beginning April 1st! Check out the latest GUIDANCE FOR SPRING PROGRAMS in 4-H begining April 1st - June 1st. It does mean, however, that clubs and groups and project leaders still have to submit the Program Plan & Approval Form for Clubs and Groups (updated March 1, 2021) and the post program contact log.
Wow! We saw the Facebook post, newspaper article, and verified with the Dodge County Fair Board. They are planning for a 2021 Dodge County Fair! And so are we! Please remind your youth members that they should have already started on 4-H project learning work, but they will need to get it completed if they want to share it at the Dodge County Fair. I didn’t see the information in the Wisconsin 4-H COVID-19 FAQ (because I think they are being updated with some discussions that are happening around fairs), but youth are allowed to participate in a fair if families decide to do so. The only part in question is club participation, and that is still in discussion.
Please feel free to contact me with questions at marie.witzel@wisc.edu or 920-210-3080.

Lead a Zoom, Share Your Knowledge!Seeking youth and adult volunteers willing to teach on a Zoom for the 4-H Family Learning Fun 2021 in March. The Zooms we did in January were so much fun! We had positive comments about doing more, but that won’t happen unless we have volunteers willing to do them. Extension Dodge County will set up the Zoom. All you have to do is plan your activity. Date options are: March 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, or 30 at either 6pm or 7pm. They only have to be 40 minutes to an hour long. We would like to encourage any young people to consider doing this also. Take your demonstration and turn it into an opportunity for 4-H Family Learning Fun! Contact Ellen Bohn at ebohn@co.dodge.wi.us or 920-386-3790 for more info.
