February is Black History Month -- we not only recognize and pay tribute to the adversities experienced by those who laid the groundwork for representation, equality and freedom, but we also celebrate the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout history. Sponsored by The Helen and Will Webster Foundation and Azusa Pacific University (APU), the Keeping History Alive and Bringing STEM to Life grant programs offer mini grants to assist teachers of history and STEM subjects throughout Los Angeles County.

Due to the generosity of the Helen and Will Webster Foundation, we were able to award 118 grants this year -- 58 for Keeping History Alive and 60 for Bringing STEM to Life!
CONGRATULATIONS to all of the grant recipients, including an APU Educational Leadership alumnus, Gilbert Navarro, '03! We look forward to celebrating all of the winners during a virtual reception at the end of this month.
