Systemwide has provided policy clarification effective 01/01/25 to exclude holidays from the 8-week limit during a leave with Pay for Family Care and Bonding (PFCB) applied.
When an exempt employee is on leave with PFCB applied, the PFL earn code is input on Job Earnings Distribution (JED) within the employee’s Job record. Pay will be issued under the PFL earn code for the duration of the leave dates with PFCB applied.
Because holidays are excluded from PFCB, a new Earn Code has been created – PHL. Locations will need to adjust holiday hours that were paid under PFL to reflect PHL.
Effective on the date of the holiday, PFL hours will need to be reversed, and PHL hours will need to be submitted.
