The Fall 2023 Schedule of classes can be found here. Pay close attention to any pre-reqsuite requirements when planning out your coursework!

Don't forget to check out The Bulletin for your major/minor requirements and the GPAC list to see what will count for GPACs!
Also! If you plan on taking CHEM 1111 in fall 2023, you will need to complete the ALEKS CPC with a 95% or higher prior to your registration date!!

2024 AMCAS Applicant Guide |
Attention pre-meds!
The moment we have all been waiting for...the 2024 AMCAS Applicant Guide is now live! Please click here to view the guide. This guide will walk you through creating your ACMAS application, how to fill in sections, how to request transcripts, etc.
Important Dates:
-May 2 - AMCAS application opens
-May 30 - AMCAS application submission begins
-June 30 - Initial transmission of applicant data to medical schools
-August 1 - Early Decision Program Deadline
Don't forget:
AAMC PREview Professional Readiness Exam - if your school requires or recommends it, the advice I have received is to take this exam in May or June (if possible).

Osteopathic Medical School Recruitment Fair |
Register for our upcoming Osteopathic Medical School Recruitment Fair!
The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) is pleased to host a one-stop opportunity for students, advisors, and community members interested in learning more about one of the pathways to becoming a physician. This event will afford visitors time to meet with representatives from a number of colleges of osteopathic medicine and speak with them about their programs. Panel discussions and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) demonstrations will also take place at the fair.

USC Pre-Medical Academy for College Students
USC Pre-Med Academy accepts applications from high-achieving college students with financial need who are interested in attending medical school. We support current undergraduate students as they prepare and apply for medical school. Our program is open to college students throughout the United States. During this application period (Spring 2023), we seek applications from college freshmen and sophomores. The application is due April 30, 2023.
If selected, each scholar will receive support with medical school preparation including:
-One-on-one mentorship from a medical school admissions expert
-Free MCAT test prep
-Nationwide peer community connections
-Access to medical students, practicing physicians, and medical school faculty and staff
-Complete application support—from the personal statement, and letters of recommendation to school selection and interviewing

Equity in Global Healthcare: Accessing Resources for Change Workshop |
The George Washington University Institute for Racial, Ethnic, and Socioeconomic Equity (“the Equity Institute”) invites you to join us for the Spring 2023 Global Equity Research Workshop. This workshop will present research that identifies the contributions of prior colonization and current neocolonialism on the training structures of surgical education in Africa. This directly impacts the delivery of and access to quality and timely healthcare in the region.
The afternoon sessions are designed to equip GW equity researchers to write effective grant applications, disseminate research, and establish authentic community research partnerships.

New Dual-Degree Program for non-SPH Students! |
GWSPH is offering a new dual degree program allowing non-SPH students to earn an MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH). Students with at least a 3.3 GPA in any major may apply to the program after earning 75 credits. Upon admission to the program, students will choose between an MPH in Environmental Health Science and Policy or Global Environmental Health. With the dual degree program, students take 12 crossover MPH credits, allowing them to earn both degrees faster and at lower cost than if they were completed separately.
Admissions will be open shortly and on a rolling basis.

Position Summary: Clinical and Administrative Duties Including
-Prepares exam rooms in the clinical area for patient care daily, including stocking all necessary supplies.
-Escorts patients to exam rooms, taking the required vital signs and obtaining urine specimens; performs dip and automated urinalysis and microscopic preparation and review when indicated.
-Assists physician with the preparation/administration of Lupron, BCG, Eligard, Vantas, Viadur, and Mitomycin; assist/perform with office-based procedures (phlebotomy, bladder scan, urethral dilations, catheterization) as requested.
-Triage patient calls for pharmacy requests, test results, medical questions, and concerns as directed by the physician; document outcomes in EHR.
-Assists in maintenance of all logs and records for OSHA/MOSHA.
-Adheres to and follows sterilization and disinfection practices throughout the facility.
-Adheres to bio-hazardous or “red bag” waste policy and procedure for properly disposing of biomedical waste.
-Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within a geographic region.

Clinical Research Assistant - Rockville, MD
Endocrine & Metabolic Consultants has posted on CapYear looking for a Clinical Research Assistant. Pre-health graduates and pending spring 2023 graduates encouraged to apply. No medical assistant certificate is required.
During the last 25 years, Drs. Rodbard and Dempsey have been principal and sub-investigators in over 150 clinical trials researching medical therapy for diabetes, heart disease, cholesterol disorders, obesity and low testosterone.
