As summer ends, Lilburn CID’s efforts continue to accelerate into the fall and upcoming holiday season. It is my pleasure to invite you to the groundbreaking for the Bryson Park and Hood Road Realignment project on October 25. It is only through teamwork and mutually productive efforts with our partner organizations, including the City of Lilburn, Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), Gwinnett County, Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank and the engineering and construction team that such success is possible. We look forward to continuing to improve Lilburn for all as a united front into a brighter future, and we invite you to celebrate with us at the October 25 groundbreaking that will take place at the entrance to Bryson Park from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Landscaping and beautification efforts with our partner Russell Landscaping also continue. We are exploring pricing options for the new median landscaping on Indian Trail to beautify the entrance to Lilburn near I-85, Exit 101.
Finally, the Transportation and Mobility Study is fully underway after a positive reception from GDOT following our August meeting. The study team, which is comprised of myself and team members from engineering firm Kimley-Horn, is hard at work developing meaningful improvements to our major traffic byways in support of the Livable Communities Initiative (LCI) plan adopted in early 2023.
