|
UCSB Library's The Writings of Henry D. Thoreau project has published the third and final volume of Thoreau's correspondence.
Written between 1857 and 1862, the 239 letters within the volume shatter the illusion of Thoreau as an isolated misanthrope and reveal a man deeply involved in political, moral, and scientific issues current in antebellum America.Â
