2025 has been another standout year for #SOLVECHD, marked by growth, collaboration, and exceptional achievements across our Network. Our community has now reached more than 500 members, with almost 30% based outside Australia, reflecting our expanding global presence.
This year, we celebrated multiple PhD and Honours conferrals and received several prestigious awards and leadership appointments across our team, including Professor Julie Redfern being appointed AM and Dr Dion Candelaria becoming the ACRA President-Elect. We also welcomed a new national consumer organisation partnership with Hearts4Heart.
Our implementation and training efforts continued to shine, with over 80% completion of the ACRA-funded CRFC program and the launch of the Program Excellence Initiative - a major step towards uplifting the quality of cardiac rehabilitation nationally.
Internationally, SOLVE-CHD members represented Australia on significant global stages, including the commissioning of the World Heart Federation Cardiac Rehabilitation Roadmap, led by Professor Julie Redfern, Professor Robyn Gallagher, and the team. Domestically, the Australia CR Quality Initiative Retreat at Bond University’s Gold Coast campus was a tremendous success, bringing together leaders and partners to plan the next phase of impact.
On behalf of the Executive Committee, we would like to thank everyone of you, for your contributions, energy, and commitment throughout 2025. We look forward to sharing more details in our upcoming 2025 Annual Report.
Wishing you and your families a restful break and a bright, successful year ahead. We’re excited for all that 2026 will bring!
