From Dean Renée Baernstein

Dean Renee Baernstein
Dear Alumni and Friends:
I’m excited to announce that Barbara Mowry ’70, owner and CEO of GoreCreek Advisors and a trailblazing executive, will be our alumni speaker at the CAS Recognition Ceremony on May 17. She’ll be joined by student speaker Peyton King, a standout Organizational Leadership major and chair of my Dean’s Student Advisory Council.
We’re proud to launch #CASMeansCareers, a bold new push to prepare students for career success and spotlight alumni success stories. Alumni like Greg Roche ’95, CEO of Distalmotion, show students what's possible with a CAS degree and inspire us to dream big.
Finally, CAS is on a roll in research. Since January, faculty in the departments of Biology, Statistics, and Chemistry and Biochemistry have landed over $820K in national grants (part of $8M+ since July!). They're working on groundbreaking research on lake ecosystems, cell proteins, and tissue regeneration.
Please read on for more news.
Thank you for all you do to show how a CAS education leads everywhere.
Love and Honor,
Renée Baernstein
Professor and Dean
