Health Care Sets Path for the Future

The Rutherford Works Health Care Council hosted the 2nd annual awareness breakfast on October 16 at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.  This event showcased allied health education programs being taught in local high schools as well as program students.  Yvette Doran, Chief Operating Officer - STMP, MSO keynoted the event and encouraged her peers to take an active role in growing the future health care workforce.  “We are the leaders today and have the ability to influence the future of our industry. We don’t have to wait for it to happen to us,” commented Doran.  “If we don’t work together to help educate the next generation get on the right pathway in health care, we are not going to have the staff to serve our clients.”
In addition to the breakfast, over 100 middle and high school students toured St. Thomas Rutherford, Interfaith Dental Clinic, TriStar Stone Crest Medical Center, Beyond Aquatics, NHC Murfreesboro and AdamsPlace during the week of October 16th.
