LEGO Club

LEGO Club was full of youth builders on Tuesday! The group learned about SNOT (Studs not on top) and practiced building using this technique. The next LEGO Club meeting is on January 23!

The group voted on the building challenge for the January meeting to be Holiday Animals. This could be animals such as reindeer, animals decorated for the holidays, a Zebra with red and green stripes, or a penguin wearing a Santa hat! Use your imagination and send your creations to Tracy! Feel free to practice building skills over the longer time in between meetings.

Taft 23 Toys for Tots

Taft 23 held a Christmas Party recently. The club went to Fleet Farm and shopped for Toys for Tots. After that, they had a party and fun with Christmas games, decorate your cookie bar, Christmas crafts, and pizza.

Countywide Officer Training

On December 2 Club officers attended the countywide training. Youth got to know each other by participating in a few icebreaker and games.  This year officer training features a guest speaker Kelsey Beine, Campbellsport 4-H Alumni, who presented during a portion of the training.  She focused on gratitude, affirmation, and motivation.  The youth learned how to apply these in their everyday life as well as in their officer roles.  Kelsey set aside time after learning about each them time to practice.  After Kelsey's presentation, officers broke out into groups by officer positions and learned more about the job responsiblities and were able to ask questions.  The training ended with a mock meeting and pizza.  Some feedback shared was: "I appreciated the presentation part." "My favorite part was the Mock meeting." Another youth shared they enjoyed writing a thank you note during the workshop to a leader to show their gratitude. Clubs that participated in officer training were: Armstrong, Brandon Tanagers, Busy Bees, Campbellsport, Helping Hands, Ledgers, Weeping Willow.
