Free! National Get Outdoors Day June 10
|
Hello Friend,
With June’s warm summer days upon us, I can’t wait to play outside. Whether a bike ride though the Columbia Gorge’s Twin Tunnels from Hood River to Mosier, a day on the beach at the Coast, or a hike to a waterfall in the forest, count me in. And the cherry on top of it all, is this Saturday, June 10, is National Get Outdoors Day when the USDA Forest Service is waiving recreation fees for day-use sites in Washington and Oregon.
This special initiative aims to encourage families and individuals to explore the beauty and wonders of our nation's forests and public lands. The Pacific Northwest Region of the Forest Service manages millions of acres of land across Washington and Oregon including over 2,400 developed recreation sites, more than 24,000 miles of trails, 51 Wild and Scenic Rivers, and two national monuments.
National Get Outdoors Day is a great time to connect with Oregon’s great outdoor places –and we hope when you celebrate the day, you'll connect with Oregon Parks Forever!
One way you can celebrate is by making a quick donation right now! Your gift helps us ensure our parks, beaches, and forests are accessible to everyone.
No matter how you enjoy spending time in nature — whether to learn, explore, or to take a break — Oregon Parks Forever has helped make a place for you, your family, and friends. We are always grateful for your support.
Let’s go outdoors!
