Twenty Clemson students are traveling to White Sands Missile Range near Las Cruces, New Mexico, to take part in the Bataan Memorial Death March on Saturday, March 21. The event pays homage to soldiers who were prisoners of war on the Bataan Peninsula in World War II and forced to march 65 miles through brutal conditions that took the lives of thousands.
- The 19th annual Clemson Literary Festival is set for March 25-27. All events are free and open to the public. Students in the Department of English organize the festival under the direction of principal lecturer John Pursley.

Idalia “Alejandra” Sierra was recently appointed the new assistant professor of turfgrass agronomy at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center (REC). Sierra's research focuses on nutrient management, water conservation, herbicide evaluations and the performance of warm-season grasses.
