This week, Walsh University is home to its largest residential summer camp on record hosting 335 teens and chaperones for the 2023 National Maronite Youth Organization Conference, the official national youth organization for the Eparchies of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles and Saint Maron of Brooklyn. The organization chose Walsh to come together for fellowship and faith formation.  

Each year, Walsh hosts various camps from mid-May until the first week of August. Until now, the Solon band camp has been the largest group using Walsh facilities with 300 high schoolers and chaperones staying in the residence halls, eating in the dining hall, and using our facilities.  

This summer, Walsh is hosting overnight camps nearly every week until our students return. There are a mix of athletic camps and non-athletic camps, with lots of high school football camps! Walsh also has 11 interns from the Pro Football Hall of Fame staying on campus this summer. In August, employees with AVI FoodSystems Inc., the official food provider for the Pro Football HOF, will stay on campus as they are working the HOF festivities.
