OUR OPENING WEEKEND CROWDS LOVED IT!
Proof opened this past weekend to an opening night standing ovation. Here's what the Cottage Grove Sentinel reviewer had to say:
"Earlier this spring, Cottage Theatre hit an all-time high during its sold-out run of Les Misérables. And while patrons will no doubt notice a dramatic difference in tone and magnitude in its current show, Proof, the intimate cast of four delivers a powerful follow-up to the epic Broadway musical." Bohemia Mining Days Melodrama on sale now
On our stage in July will be our ninth annual Bohemia Mining Days Melodrama, written especially for us by Cottage Grove playwright Keith Kessler. This year's melodrama is set in 1871, just as the long-awaited C.O.W. Line (California, Oregon and Washington Railroad) is nearing completion. This family-friendly event occurs during Cottage Grove’s Bohemia Mining Days Festival and features 29 youth actors ages 9 - 14, along with plenty of booing and hissing at the villains, and an old-fashioned audience sing-along.  Reserved seating tickets are $7 for all ages and are on sale now.

Wanted: Friendly theatre-lover to work in CT office
Do you know someone who is friendly, highly-organized, loves theatre, and has some office experience? Then please send them our way! Cottage Theatre has an opening for a half-time Administrative Assistant and we're collecting applications through the end of June. Please help us spread the word to anyone you know who might be qualified and interested. (No singing, dancing, or even acting skill is required, though we won't hold any such talents against you!) Read the position announcement for more information.
ANNOUNCING OUR NEWEST CAST
Cottage Theatre was buzzing with activity last weekend. Not only did we have the opening three performances of Proof, but also we had scores of people here on Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening "rocking out" for auditions of Jesus Christ Superstar. We send our applause and thanks to everyone who tried out and our congratulations to those cast. Jesus Christ Superstar will be on stage at CT October 2 - 25. See who's in the cast.
