UAH community donates, produces COVID-19 equipment for Tennessee Valley »

A wide assortment of critical equipment has been created and donated to Tennessee Valley healthcare workers by The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) campus community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The UAH Foundation gifted $30,000 to support the efforts. The UAH Foundation Board voted to supply the money to defray costs UAH organizations have incurred in supplying face shields, intubation boxes, cleanroom gowns, and other personal protection equipment (PPE) that is critically needed by the state and local health providers.

Be proactive about mental health during COVID isolation, clinical psychologist says »

Seeking out good news is a great way to keep mentally balanced during the long period of social isolation imposed by the COVID-19 battle, says a clinical psychologist who is an associate professor of psychology at UAH.
"I would like to urge everyone to look for the good news out there, especially the good news about COVID-19," says Dr. Eric Seemann. "Many valid news agencies have these stories on their websites but you need to look for them."

Give Back

While we have seen many changes over the last several weeks, some things remain the same and good news ensues. We are happy to share that we have awarded our first student awards for the Last Mile Fund (LMF) and have a greater UAH family as a result.
To date, we have raised $134,359.98 for the LMF through gifts and pledges from alumni, community members, faculty, and staff. We also have a newly named endowment and a pending endowment aligning with the mission of the LMF, and have received a $25,000 anonymous gift to the fund!
Thank you for giving back to your fellow Chargers! Visit the LMF website to hear from one of our students on how you are making an impact and how you can continue to positively influence the lives of our students.
