University of Washington Nathan Shock Center and Healthy Aging and Longevity Research Institute Pilot Project Awards

The projects should utilize the specific services provided by one or more of the UW Nathan Shock Center Cores. View the RFA here. The awards are generally up to $10,000, depending on the specific needs of the applicant. Applications from institutions outside of the University of Washington are strongly encouraged.

The University of Minnesota NSC Pilot Awards

The University of Minnesota NSC Pilot Awards are intended to provide collaboration between the awardee and the core services provided by the UMN NSC. Projects will primarily support junior level geroscience investigators. Applications from more established investigators whose research is pivoting to aging will also be considered. 2025 Evidence to Impact Workshop: Integrating Research on Aging into Health Systems

This 2-day workshop will advance the science and practice of implementation and innovation to improve the care and outcomes of older adults. Hosted this year by the University of Pittsburgh, the workshop's hybrid format with a focus on Age Friendly Health Initiatives, allows for in-person interactive sessions, mentorship and workgroups and uses a webinar platform to engage a wider virtual audience for plenary presentation. Participants will include health systems leadership, researchers, trainees, and clinicians.

2025 Masoro-Barshop Conference on Aging: Dietary Approaches to Geroscience Intervention

Each year, the Masoro-Barshop Conference on Aging assembles leaders in a thematic area of geroscience in an informal setting to maximize discussion on their recent research discoveries. Aging Mechanisms Impacting Women’s Health

Presenting authors will be notified of the Scientific Committee's decision regarding acceptance of their abstracts. Presenting authors must be registered to ICFSR25 by January 15, 2026 or their abstract will be discarded from the program.
