Dear Colleague,

The COVID-19 pandemic presents unique challenges to children with special health care needs and their families. While the long-term impacts on this population are yet to be seen, the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health is responding to the immediate needs of our community. Earlier this month we distributed $230,000 in emergency grants to support families, health care professionals, and policy advocacy efforts. We will continue to work with allies and leaders in the field and leverage our grant dollars to address ongoing needs. See a summary of the COVID-19 grants for more information.

As you may have seen in our recent newsletters, we have a dedicated COVID-19 webpage with information for families, caregivers, state agencies, and advocates of children with special health care needs. Resources are updated regularly. I hope you will find them useful in your work.

We are committed to being thoughtful and supportive of our grantees, partners, and the CSHCN community. I encourage you to connect with Foundation staff about emergent issues related to COVID-19, or to share pertinent resources.

Take care,

Holly Henry, Ph.D.
