As we move through another busy summer, I'm encouraged by the continued progress taking place throughout the Lilburn Community Improvement District. Every project, partnership and investment we make is focused on strengthening the foundation of our community and creating a more connected, attractive and vibrant Lilburn for years to come.
We're very honored to welcome Mark DeArmon to the Lilburn CID Board of Directors while congratulating Arturo Adonay on his re-election. Strong leadership is essential to the work we do, and I'm confident both will play an important role as we continue advancing initiatives that improve mobility, infrastructure and economic development throughout the district.

Our renewed landscaping and beautification efforts are already making a visible difference along key corridors. Maintaining a clean, welcoming environment is an important part of supporting local businesses, enhancing property values and creating a community that residents and visitors are proud to experience.
Construction at The Porchline also continues to make significant progress, bringing us one step closer to a transformational addition to Old Town Lilburn. While much of the attention naturally focuses on the buildings themselves, I encourage you to read this month's edition of Tad Talks, where I discuss the "halo effect" of development. When planned thoughtfully, projects like The Porchline have the potential to attract additional investment, strengthen surrounding businesses and create lasting momentum that extends well beyond the construction site.

The Lilburn CID remains committed to making strategic investments that strengthen our district today while laying the groundwork for future opportunities. Thank you for your continued support as we work alongside our partners to build an even stronger Lilburn.

Mark DeArmon Joins the CID board as Arturo Adonay Begins a New Three-Year Term |
We are thrilled to welcome a new board member while celebrating the re-election of a valued leader following the annual Caucus of Electors on June 10.
Mark DeArmon was elected to fill Post 1, succeeding longtime board member David Freeman. We extend our sincere gratitude to David for his years of dedicated service to the Lilburn CID Board and the lasting contributions he made to the district's growth and success! A lifelong Lilburn resident and member of the Downtown Development Authority, Mark brings a deep passion for the community and a strong commitment to the continued growth and success of Old Town Lilburn.
Board member Arturo Adonay was also re-elected to another three-year term. An accomplished entrepreneur and commercial real estate leader, Arturo brings extensive experience in redevelopment, investment and economic development that will continue to benefit the district.
The June board meeting also marked progress on several key initiatives, including approval of a stormwater study that will support future infrastructure planning in partnership with the City of Lilburn, updates on the CID's expanded landscaping and beautification efforts and a vote to maintain the district's self-imposed millage rate at 5 mills for the upcoming fiscal year.
With strong leadership and continued investment in projects that enhance mobility, infrastructure and aesthetics, Lilburn CID remains committed to building a stronger future for the community.

Investing in a Cleaner, More Beautiful Lilburn
|
Lilburn CID has officially finalized its expanded partnership with Atlanta Landscape Group as part of a renewed commitment to landscaping, beautification and corridor maintenance throughout the district.
In addition to mowing, edging, weed eating and maintaining landscape beds, the enhanced contract now includes routine trash pickup to help keep key corridors cleaner and more welcoming for businesses, residents and visitors alike.
The results are already becoming visible across the district, and these ongoing efforts reflect the CID's continued investment in creating an attractive, well-maintained community that supports local businesses and fosters pride in Lilburn.

Looking Beyond the Construction Fence |
What if the biggest impact of a new development isn't the building itself?
In the latest edition of Tad Talks, Executive Director Tad Leithead explores the "halo effect" — how a single transformative project can spark new investment, strengthen local businesses and create momentum that benefits an entire community.
Using The Porchline as an example, this blog looks beyond the construction fence to examine how thoughtful development can help shape a more vibrant, walkable and economically resilient Old Town Lilburn for years to come.

The Porchline Continues to Take Shape |
Construction continues to make exciting progress at The Porchline, bringing new energy and investment to Old Town Lilburn. While the development is led by RangeWater in partnership with the City of Lilburn, Lilburn CID is proud to support projects that contribute to the community's long-term growth and vitality.
Recent milestones include continued progress on the public parking deck, where crews are completing final finishes ahead of opening, as well as ongoing work throughout the residential buildings and amenity spaces. Outside, landscaping, hardscaping and the new paver roadway along Railroad Avenue are transforming the area into a more walkable, inviting destination. Construction is also underway on a new public dog park, which will be deeded to the City upon completion.
As one of the most significant investments in Old Town Lilburn's history, The Porchline represents an exciting step forward in creating a vibrant downtown where residents, businesses and visitors can live, gather and connect.
